Today my daughter called and told me the managers and senior workers at her Little Caesars quit She has been working at the pizza shop for nearly a month. She was distraught! She was like mom “I am the only worker who has any experience,” she went on to explain the remaining workers were newer than she was.
I told her to ask the person with the most experience to move to the cash register and she needed to put her culinary skills to work. She works the kitchen. She went on to explain why the three managers and two other coworkers walked off.
They felt like it wasn’t fair that their location was paid minimum wage while the other location was getting ten dollars per hour. She wanted to know if she should quit too. I asked her to think about the business , and how those new workers needed her. Two hours later she is still trying to make it work for all of the workers remaining.
Actions talk louder than words, but those actions need to be positive.
