We Slid Into Another Car Last Night

I can’t wait for this weather to go away. So, we had to venture out a little further than I expected last night As we were turning into an eatery, watching a cop attend to a wreck, we slid into this truck’s tire. Our car is small, so after backing up it slid back down. The cop came running over and checked on us and the truck driver.

By this time, the driver and my husband were looking at our vehicles. Needless to say, the truck was fine, but our car has a scratch. The cop said the whole thing was on video and then he couldn’t help but laugh. He was like the whole thing was pretty hilarious, then he saw my frown. He said he didn’t mean hilarious, but blah blah is all I heard next.

It was sort of funny, but seeing him say it was shocking! Anyway, it is good to see humanity still has a sense of humor. As for the scratch, we will have to get that removed a little later.

As for current plans, we are still on a boil water advisory. The water isn’t on yet and the stores haven’t restocked. I am still under my covers unable to muster up enough energy to get out of bed at the moment.

I want something to eat, but I am scared to go back out because I don’t want a repeat of last night. Ubereats is back up and working! However, I don’t want to waste the little money I have on delivery food. I think I will check and see if Amazon has water, maybe it will be under five bucks . That’s the game plan for today. I think I just brainstormed the first half of my day See, blogging can be helpful.

Uber And Their Defining Moment

Yesterday started out being a happy day full of fun and promise. I picked up car from the dealership and started on my way home. While I was in route to my house the car started to act funny. Soon I found myself pulling over to a mechanic’s shop trying to explain the sudden break down that nearly caused a wreck.

My newly used car had stopped working not once, but twice before I reached the shop. Not only did it stop working, but it nearly stopped on the highway. As I pulled up to the light the car shut off once more. So, I’m freaking out by now and hating the fact that I do not know my husband’s number. Hell, I didn’t even have a phone on me. I do not like taking phones, or at least I didn’t like taking phones until this situation took place. I’m looking at the guy from the mechanic shop explaining how he can’t help and at the same time thinking about the AS IS phrase plastered across the contract I just signed.

I’m at this shop away from my family, stuck with an unsafe car, and really just not knowing what to do next. After the manager of the shop explained that his shop couldn’t help me, I decided that I would try to make it across the street to Walmarts by way of the parking lot and street. After the car cut off about three more times in the parking lot, I stopped and just looked around. I finally made up my mind that I would try to reach Walmart’s because a phone was my only way out. A phone would allow me to call my husband once more, download the Uber app and make my way home.

After a few more stalls I was safely in the Walmart parking lot. I parked near the lawn area on the 8th row. I jumped out of the car and ran inside to buy a phone and plot my escape from my Ford Escape. My day didn’t ease up then, I guess the heat was starting to get to me, so it took me like 45 minutes to just locate my number on my new cheap Verizon phone. Verizon, you really do not need to make phone numbers that hard to find ever again.

So, businesses that got a beautiful A plus yesterday would be Walmarts, Pepboys, and my savior Uber. As soon as I was able to sign up for Uber and ask for the ride, my driver just magically showed up within a second or so. I don’t think I would have made it another 20 minutes, or 30 without turning into a total mess. Not only was he able to offer me a cooler climate, but he was also able to offer me hope. As for the salesman that told me he thought the warning system light was meant for a tire or just off, he was wrong. It was a warning that something serious was wrong with that car and it put my life in danger. http://www.killeenautosales.net/ I am very upset with you guys. By the way, the car is now at the Ford house getting fixed. I am glad to be alive, but what if I had died on the highway because you sold a vehicle that was too dangerous to be driven? My children would have been without a mother and my husband without a wife because you weren’t honest about the car.
