Today many of you are supposed to be completing a mission. I would challenge you to focus on the most important mission. We were put on this earth to help bring light to the world.
Some of you are confused right now and some are seeking for answers, but remember that God works in mysterious ways. What you needed last year might be something you no longer need today. Elections are hard , and this one has proven to be one of the hardest in recent memory.
However, this election shouldn’t challenge your heart, risk your safety, or endanger others. It is okay to be upset, but remember we are commanded to not let the sun go down while we are in that state of mind. Ephesians 4: 26 ‘”Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:”
Instead of getting mad you should pray about it. Anger has the power to do one or two things, it can change for the better or destroy. Ask yourself , does this anger destroy?
If your anger destroys, God isn’t in it. God’s greatest commandment is surrounded around love.
29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[a]30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[b](C)31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[c](D) There is no commandment greater than these.”
That means we must love and then love some more. When we feel weak and hurt, once again dig deep and love harder. It means we love no matter the political party, race, religion or sexual orientation.
Lastly, we Christians know that there is a season for all things.
Matthew 7 : 21-23 Not everyone who (B)says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will (C)enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who (D)does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 (E)On that day (F)many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not (G)prophesy in your name, and cast out demons (H)in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 (I)And then will I declare to them, ‘I (J)never knew you; (K)depart from me, (L)you workers of lawlessness.’
Don’t let this be the last time the world sees your shining face. Trust in God and remember God does everything for a reason.
