PC GAMERS And A LACK OF CIVILITY : ATLAS

Games are very popular today and people of all ages find enjoyment within their make believe worlds. Years ago when my husband and I started playing World of Warcraft we really connected with the art, adventure and storyline.

Later we fell in love with games like Stonghold, Civilization, and the SIMS. I found myself in dino heaven after we later found Ark by Studio Wildcard. However, there were issues that soon started to turn players off. There were too many players taking land and not enough room for players to really enjoy the game. Push forward to Atlas. It’s a cool MMO game that really gets your imagination running. I can be a pirate, you can be a pirate and we can all sing the pirate songs! Okay a little too much. Atlas is another game from Studio Wildcard that seems to suffer from some of the same issues. Atlas lets players find land, build ships, and live like past pirates. The players are able to find treasure and align with other companies.

It sounds great if you are into pirates, but sadly there is a downside. Atlas has some of the same issues preventing new players from being able to enjoy the game. Picture a vast amount of land with so much potential that soon finds a few companies who take over the land and prevent other players from building? There have been many players over the past few days that have searched for hours and they are still unable to find a new place for their base. It is a turn off for those who might want to come to the game and invite friends and play on official servers.

Wildcard could fix this issue by doing one simple thing. They could limit the amount of flags one is able to place without contesting. The land hoarders would then have to contest the land if it goes over the adjusted amount of flags. This is a new game and for new players to not have the ability to play or start a base because of a select few seems harsh. These server are all PVE servers and the companies in question, in regards to the land napping are on the Hydra Server. There are only 4 servers right now, and 2 area PVE while the other two are PVP. Perhaps, SW needs to take a look at what kind of behavior needs to be on the PVE servers and PVP servers.

A Conversation About Being Happy With My 13 Yr Old

I’ve come to the conclusion that our children feel like that must be happy 100 percent of the time. Recently, my daughter told me she felt unhappy and that she couldn’t put her finger on the reason. I explained that it’s normal to be unhappy at times and that it would be quite abnormal to be happy all the time. She looked at me as if I had said something Greek.

I went on to explain that we all feel unhappy at times, but it’s what we do with those feelings that predict the outcome of that day. I told her about the family I had to question with their dying child in the room. Happiness will be hard to find for a long time due to the loss of their child. She looked and said yeah you’re right. She revealed that she was unhappy because she felt like none of the guys she liked ever liked her back.

After watching the sorrow in her eyes, I insisted that she take out a list and write everyone’s name down for future reference. She looked at me and smiled. I then informed her it was the Brown curse to be a little different in middle school but to turn into a beautiful butterfly in high school, revealing that it happened to me and both of her sisters. In that moment my daughter was happy not for some nice object that I presented her with, but that I took the time to help her find a solution to her problem.

Listen to your children!

Don’t forget to get my book! It’s free for two days!

Is The Media Turning on Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex

Is the media trying to turn the public against the Duchess of Sussex ? We’ve read many articles this month that have showcased her in a very unflattering light. She’s been picked on for cradling her stomach, being too large, not having on the right color nail polish, and in a few hours it will be something else. I feel sorry for her because she not only has a family that will stop at nothing to hurt her reputation, but now she has the media doing the same. Perhaps, the media has always been her problem , but they just didn’t have the right ammo. When people turned their eye from her sister and father, the media turned onto something else that could hinder her. They would cast her as a woman with an ego problem which centered around her being hard to work for.

“I have the heart of a man, not a woman, and I am not afraid of anything.”

Elizabeth I

Here is the states, we have strong women who marched in the #Metoo movement, Suffrage movement, and the Civil Rights movement. It’s in our blood to be strong because there was no other way. When the men went off to war, women were left back to tend the farms, houses, and protect their families. Call it the gift from the frontier, if you must, but it was the American way.

As it stands, the Duchess of Sussex was brought up by a strong female, I do not see her forgetting who she is, due to the crown. She can be a little more outspoken because she will not be Queen. However, at the end of the day, being outspoken shouldn’t make her a target, and I feel like the Duchess of Sussex has been targeted because she’s part of those women who are movers and shakers.

In life we all have our parts to play. The Duchess of Sussex is being the supporter, and that should be okay. Just don’t forget your part because we are in a never ending play. Some of us just don’t know it yet.

KPOP Inspired

I wanted to show how my daughter’s dramas are doing. It’s hard to believe she turned 13 last month and she’s already writing dramas. When I was her age I was playing in the woods with my relatives. If memory has it right, we were playing wizards. We would grab onto sticks and belts and play like we were magical creatures. It often resulted in cut lips, missing teeth, but it was fun!

This is part one.

This is Two

This is four.

If you like BTS, Blackpink or other KPOP groups, I think you will like her story.

On another note, I get a stank faces when people find out that my daughter likes KPOP, but here’s the thing! People of all races and nationalities can enjoy a wide range of things. Do not limit yourself by placing yourself into a box. Enjoy life while you can because the ability to enjoy it might not always be there.
