Parents Can Be Their Children’s Downfall

My daughter just informed me that her friend isn’t going to tryouts this morning because her mother told her she can’t make the team. Then she went on to tell my daughter how this child has mental problems and wouldn’t be able to make the team. My child has ADHD and it isn’t an illness that stops children from being in sports. I can’t deal with THOSE parents. I think back to my mother telling me that black people couldn’t be archeologist and it caused me a lot of confusion as a child. Parents are supposed to be their children’s guardians and I mean in the spirit of the greatest protector. Meanwhile, my daughter is asking me why doesn’t her friend’s mom believe in her ? You can have all the degrees in the world, but if you can’t master the most important major which is knowing your child, you suck.
